What’s up?! My name is Jacob, and I’m an adventure photographer based in Denver, CO. Here’s a little bit about me:
I love to climb, hike, backpack, camp, and travel.
I have a dog named Winston who joins me on most of my adventures.
I’ve been shooting photos for 6 years, and have loved every minute of it.
I’m a Colorado native who couldn’t appreciate this state until I started taking pictures.
I’m 23, but the more time I spend in the mountains, the more I feel like a kid.

What Do I Do?
Simply put, I make photos. But not just any photos. I make photos that steal your attention, make you ask questions, and, in some instances, make you say, “That could be me.” At least that’s my goal.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from collaborating and shooting with brands, it’s that people connect with experiences before they connect with products. Look at it this way: someone is scrolling through social media when your product-promoting post pops up on their feed. If they don’t connect with the experience that is shown in your post almost immediately, they likely won’t stick around to view your product. But if you can showcase an experience that appeals to most people, who are your target clientele, then they’ll likely look into your product more or remember it the next time they’re out doing said activity and say to themselves, “I need to get one of those.”
That’s where I come in. Because when shooting adventure photography, it is my mission to capture the experience and tell a story. While in the field, I focus on making images that answer questions like, “What are they doing?” and “Where are they headed?” while also focusing on making images that will make consumers ask questions like, “Would that piece of gear help me on my next adventure?” and “Should I add this to my kit?”
After I get home from an adventure, it’s time to sort through hundreds of images until I have a curated collection of photos that I believe best capture our adventure. The location, people, gear, high moments, and low ones, all coming together to form a story. What kind of story? I’m not quite sure… yet. But I’m excited to find out, and I hope you’re excited to find out with me!
